  1. I don’t quite understand your title as Social Media is included in digital marketing. It will just share its stage with all the other forms now, not take a backseat.Yes, this is the direction we are going and technology and the public’s reception to it will dictate the progress of one over the other so a lot of new ways to market are coming. Thanks for making us think about it!

      Thanks Hania,

For the sake of simplicity, I am using Wikipedia’s definition of Digital Marketing, which includes social media. I’ve always thought that social media marketing was more an element of Internet marketing than a new stand-alone field of marketing.

My title was intended to capture attention and also to suggest that in becoming an element of digital marketing, social media marketing was losing its superstar status as a stand-alone form of marketing. Seems the title did a better job of capturing attention than offering an insight. 😦

I do agree that social media marketing will be sharing the stage with other forms of digital marketing, many of which have yet to even make their appearance.

  2. First of all I want to say superb blog! I had a quick question that I’d like to ask if you do not mind. I was curious to find out how you center yourself and clear your mind before writing. I’ve
had trouble clearing my thoughts in getting my ideas out there.
I do enjoy writing but it just seems like the first
10 to 15 minutes are usually lost simply just trying to
figure out how to begin. Any suggestions or tips? Many thanks!

I have taken the liberty of replying to your question in today’s blog post.

Let me know if you need further clarification.

      Larry
