Welcome to a new edition of the Famous Interviews with Joe Dimino series ..

On this episode, we talk with Author, Lawyer, Consultant & Coach Larry Easto ..

He has delivered professional services for more than forty years. Despite the apparent differences in these roles, his approach was more facilitative than authoritative.

Instead of telling clients what actions they should or shouldn’t be taking, Larry helped them understand their current situation in order to make the most appropriate decisions to achieve their desired results. As part of this decision-making, careful consideration was given to potential opportunities and threats associated with each option.

From his first book in 1993 until the present time, he has written and published about thirty hard copy books, short eBooks, and video courses.

From his base in Downtown Toronto, we get into a fascinating life he has lived.

Enjoy.

My review of the episode:

In the fall of 2024, my first appearance as podcast guest was on Joe Dimino’s Famous Interviews Podcast.

And what a joy that experience was.

Apart from some technical issues, which will be corrected before my next podcast interview, two points stand out for me.

One is my reference to collaboration.  At the time that I recorded the interview, I had just finished publishing my latest book and was moving into the marketing phase. Expect for hiring third parties for specific work, I did virtually everything myself.  Ouch!!

Since then, I have recognized the error of my ways.  Certainly most of a writer’s work is solitary in nature, working on a computer for too many hours. But that doesn’t mean than non-working hours are likewise to be spent facing an electronic screen of one kind or another.

I am so grateful for the existing friends with whom I have reconnected as well as for the new friendships that are currently in development.

For the best results in this game of life, collaboration with others is the absolutely essential—even for those of us who consider ourselves introverts.   Like many things, life is so much better when shared with like-minded friends.

In my conversation with Joe, I also emphasized the importance of listening.

Given the dramatic changes in our world since the interview was released in October, the act of listening has become even more important.  But listening is more than just waiting for our turn talk: it’s all about listening from a position of mindful awareness.

In case that term is new to you, mindful awareness is the practice of being present and aware of our thoughts, feelings, and surroundings without judgment. It can help us develop a deeper connection with ourselves and the world around us.
