My review:

As a podcast guest, it seems to me that the absolute best interviews combine the optimal combination of spontaneity and planning. Using that criterion, my conversation with Tobi Ojekunle on his Mirror Talk podcast was one of the best of the best.
Our interview started with Tobi asking me three “wild card” questions, drawn at random from decks of cards. His ice breaker question—what is the first thing people notice about me?—was something that I had never been asked before. As a result, the thinking part of my brain kicked in and we off and running.
The two following questions prepared the way for some great conversation that was both insightful and meaningful.
For example, the early reference to my being a Highly Sensitive Person planted the seeds for discussing personal attributes and characteristics as essential components of being our true authentic selves.
I particularly appreciated the opportunity of telling the story behind my current book and video course. As delighted as I am with these two learning resources, the backstory helps reinforce the value of having a clear purpose.
As illustrated by the stories that I shared with Tobi, when we are clear about our purpose in life, amazing things happen.
At the time, I saw the evolution of the book and video course as interesting added bonus kinds of things. Now, as a result of the interview I recognize them as essential steps along the way to my ultimate purpose.
Throughout my career, client service has always been more of a collaborative process than a one-way information dump.
Probably not by coincidence, my interview with Tobi was also a collaborative experience—as well as one of my best interviews.
Thank you, Tobi—what a total joy chatting with you.
